Sheena + Tim: Married!

Sheena loves having her photo taken.  Tim…not so much.  But he was a good sport about it on his wedding day Saturday, even braving the planters full of bees to get the photos his new bride wanted.  And after enduring the humidity, climbing through the mud, and smiling for about an hour and a half, Sheena let Tim off the hook.  As a reward, they spent the next few hours eating at Steak and Shake and partying in the bus with their wedding party before moving on to the reception.

You can view Sheena and Tim’s SLIDESHOW HERE.  Thanks to Stephanie for shooting with me on such a rainy, muddy day.  Congrats to the new couple – have a fantastic time on your upcoming honeymoon in Jamaica!

Taylor: On the run!

Last time I photographed Taylor she was far less mobile.  At just over a year old, she has discovered her freedom, and she was definitely on the run during our photo shoot yesterday in Forest Park.  But how can you be mad at someone with such adorable blond curls and big blue eyes?  You can’t – you just follow her down the path and get whatever you can!

Last Chance Photo Marathon!

Each time I run into an old client and tell them I’m moving, I seem to get the same type of response: “But we wanted you to take photos of XYZ!!”  So I’ve decided to offer one Last Chance Photo Marathon before I leave town at the end of October.

The marathon will be on Sunday, October 18 at Forest Park.  You can sign up for any type of session you want – family, kids, babies, engagement, trash the dress, newlywed (anything but boudoir for obvious reasons ;) ).  You’ll get 30-40 minutes of shooting time, online proofing for one month, and a DVD of your image files to use as you please.  The cost is $200.

Email me at sixeightythree@gmail.com to reserve a time slot!

Jackie + Greg: Married!

Jackie’s purple shoes for the wedding were fantastic.  She said she wanted something she would wear again after the wedding.  I personally can’t imagine a circumstance in which I would wear bright purple heels (I’m always barefoot or in flip flops!) but they looked completely fabulous with her dress.  And she managed to wear them all night, so they must be comfy.  I’m sure she’ll find a great use for them down the road.

After a ceremony at St. Cecilia’s, we did some photos in Tower Grove Park and down at the City Garden, and headed to the reception at the Crowne Plaza downtown.  Both St. Ceclia’s and the Crowne Plaza were exceptionally dark – good thing I’m not afraid of a high ISO :)  Thanks Kelly Park for shooting with me.  You can see the SLIDESHOW HERE.

A Note on Albums

This applies to those of you who are still ignoring your wedding album – you know who you are (and there are more than one of you!!)

Since I am moving from St. Louis to Denver in the last weekend of October, the time line for albums is changing a bit.  If you get your album design completed by the end of September, I will be able to order it before I move and get it out to you before the end of October.  All other orders will have to be ordered after the first week of November.  Believe it or not, that starts the holiday rush at the album companies, which means albums will take a bit longer.  So if you are interested in having your album before the holidays (so all your relatives can ooh and ahh), contact me soon!!

Likewise, if you are thinking of ordering any prints or books as holiday presents you should contact me soon for estimates on delivery times.

And finally, because every post is better with an image, here is a photo of the arch I took the other day.  Just because :)
