Garvin’s Sewer Service, Inc.

I’ll be honest, I laughed.  When I mentioned to a friend that I was going to photograph a couple of plumbers for Garvin’s, the response I got was “don’t get any crack in the photos.”  Kind of a lame joke, but it did make me laugh a bit.  No crack.  Just smiles from two of their friendly guys. :)

Kaitlin + Adam

As a couple, Kaitlin and Adam have charisma.  Kaitlin has an adorable southern accent, and a genuine curiosity about people that’s hard to resist.  Adam’s passion for biking and skiing comes through so clearly in his speaking that it’s impossible not to get excited right alongside him as he tells stories.  In short, they’re just an enjoyable pair to be around, which made my job that much easier.

Kaitlin and Adam won last month’s Engagement Contest (despite having been married for the last two years – I bent the rules. :))  We spent an evening in Riverfront Park downtown for their session, meandering through the park and then back into the city.  The resulting images had a nice blend between city and nature, which makes this an fun place for a portrait session.  Many thanks to these two for entering the contest, and for being such a joy to photograph :)

Shandro Family

“Now I understand why we never have family portraits taken!” Kathie exclaimed.  It was the third time she’d had to reschedule her family portraits in a week.  With four adult children – two with rough work schedules, one visiting from Korea, and another visiting for the day from college – it had become a bit of a mess to schedule.  The only time in which everyone’s schedule intersected was for 35 minutes on Thursday night.  I worked fast, everyone smiled on cue, and we got it done.  And we beat the rainstorm by about 30 seconds.  How’s that for timing? :)

  1. Kathie said: Thanks again, Tracy, for making "portrait time" such a fun moment in the park. You were so easy & wonderful to work with, and you captured the essence of who we are in 35 minutes with black clouds looming overhead! Wow!     August 20, 2010 @ 1:37 pm

Perna Family

Little Harper loves to swing.  I can’t blame her – I still love to swing at 27.  I guess at 15 months Harper looks a little more age appropriate on the swing set :)  So I stayed off the playground and just took photos (this time!)

Harper and her parents were in town for the weekend visiting family, and I had the opportunity to take some photos of the whole family in Washington Park.  Harper is the only grandkid, and I can tell she’s probably spoiled rotten by her grandparents and her aunt.  Hey, that’s what family is for :)

Roundhouse Advisors, Inc

It’s Monday – let’s do something corporate to celebrate :) Here are a few of the headshots taken of Larry and Shara of Roundhouse Advisors, Inc this afternoon.

Larry could barely stand up after we took this first shot – he’s knees were not happy with me.  I asked in advance if it would be hard on his legs to squat like that, but Larry took it more as a challenge than a question and just did it.  Regardless, I think it was well worth the effort, but I guess only Larry can be the judge of that one :)

Happy Monday!
